My name is Anusha Gunarajah. I am a 20 year old, born and raised to ask questions, seek solutions, and explore the cracks of the world. Currently pursuing a degree in International Development, minor in Geography and a diploma in Environmental Assessment at the University of Waterloo. As cliché as it sounds, I always wanted to change the world. I was and still am frustrated with the current state of the world, the fact that there isn’t universal access to clean drinking water is ridiculous. My passion in development constantly wanders within many developmental issues. But what remains constant is my quest to seek out justice, happiness, love, and equality. This blog is not only a series of rants or opinions but rather an avenue for me to explore and express my journey in development and to find myself.
And so it begins the journey of the Wandering Indevour.
Mission Statement“You don’t develop courage by being happy in your relationships everyday. You develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity” – Epicurus
I am an individual who follows the beat of her own drum. Someone who holds her own, stands behind her principles but respects opinions of others. Someone who accepts differences and the diversities within our word. An individual that understands the value of life and environment. I believe that it is important to advocate for social justice and environmental integrity. I appreciate and enjoy the simple things and moments in life. I am a realistic, a thinker and a practical leader. I will not let fear control my decisions but rather explore every avenue before accepting defeat.
